What are the software and hardware requirements for ChilliDB?
ChilliDB utilises a number of software systems which have their own server requirements - e.g. SQL Server, Windows Server, IIS.  In consideration of those services, the minimum ChilliDB Hardware Requirements are:

  • Xeon Duel Core 2.0Ghz
  • 4GB RAM
  • 10Gb Hard Disk Space
  • 100Mb NIC

How secure will ChilliDB keep my data?
ChilliDB is built on Microsoft .Net framework with Microsoft SQL Server, providing an enterprise level architecture and database solution. SSL encryption can be used to protect the data within ChilliDB, this technology secures your data by encrypting information and providing authentication.

SSL is short for Secure Sockets Layer, a protocol developed for transmitting information via the Internet. SSL uses a cryptographic system that uses two keys to encrypt data − a public key known to everyone and a private or secret key known only to the recipient of the message. Both Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer support SSL.


How much does ChilliDB cost?
ChilliDB is extremely affordable, arguably the most affordable CRM solution on the planet! You can either pay a one off licensing fee and an annual support fee or we can host your database and you pay a small per user per month fee whilst we take care of all running and maintenance of the system. Because we customise ChilliDB to suit your requirements the total cost of the tailored end solution is different for everyone!

What is the difference between Hosted and Onsite ChilliDB?
ChilliDB is available in two models - Hosted and Onsite, to allow you to choose the best ChilliDB experience for your business.

Access to the ChilliDB can be achieved in one of two ways. Either by obtaining a license to operate the software within your office or by accessing the software on our hosting servers via the internet.

Both options are described in more detail below.

Running the software internally:
Firstly establish how many licenses you require by assessing how many users will concurrently access the software at any one time. For example, in an organisation with 10 staff, only 5 users may use the software at the same time. In that case you would need 5 licenses. Licenses are perpetual meaning they do not expire. If access for more users is required, you can purchase additional licenses at any time. You must purchase a minimum of five licenses initially to operate ChilliDB.

After purchasing the required licenses you will be provided a copy of the latest version of ChilliDB. To ensure you have access to new versions as they become available and support if required please see Maintenance & Support.

Accessing the software on a hosted server:
Running the ChilliDB through a hosted server option is an ideal approach when you do not have a internal server or IT support staff to manage the software internally. Additionally, rather than an upfront investment in license purchasing, you only pay monthly for access to the software based on the number of users that require access. Maintenance and Support is built into the monthly cost. To ensure reliability and security, the software and your data is housed in a secure data centre. To operate ChilliDB using this approach, you only need a browser and internet connectivity; we take care of the system maintenance.
