Add an extra layer of security to your login by setting up a Two Factor Authentication in ChilliDB. When setup, it means that in addition to your password you will also be asked to enter a unique code generated by a separate Authentication app on your smartphone. We recommend you use Two Factor Authentication as it reduces the risk of your account being accessed if your password is compromised. The following example illustrates setting up Two Factor Authentication for a user with administrator access. 1. Ensure you are logged into a user account with administrator access. Then select “System”, “Users” and “Maintain Users” from the top menu bar. 2. Select the required user to update. In this example we are selecting mbloggs. 1. At the bottom select “Yes” for Two Factor Authentication and select “Save”. 4. At the bottom select “Yes” for Two Factor Authentication and select “Save”. 5. After logging in, a pop up for the Two Factor Authentication will display. Follow the instructions and select “Next”. 6. Enter in the code you receive on your Authenticator App. 7. Then create the three secret question and answers. They will be used if your phone or tablet containing the authenticator app is unavailable. When finished click next to complete the process. 8. Next time you log in as mbloggs you will be prompted for the authentication code from your authenticator app as shown below. By implementing the Two Factor Authentication in your employees’ ChilliDB account, you can reduce the risk of security breaches.
